today is unusually chilly for august… it’s like 51 degrees right now with a forecasted low of 40 tonight (for my celsius thinking family back in the philippines, that would be like around 10 deg. to a low of 4 degrees)
waking up this morning reminded me of winter.. it brought back memories of being new to the US… arriving fresh from the philippines :)… if this keeps up, who knows me might have a winter sooner as expected.
to attribute to the chilliness, we had a passing storm late last night, david and i were taking a walk that evening and we can see the clouds gathering and winds picking up.. we had a nice long walk before it actually started to pick up… i try to keep walking daily throughout the pregnancy but i noticed lately that the longer i walk, the sciatic nerves in my butt would keep bugging me, making it difficult to walk and therefore slowing me down even more… and the soles of my feet get sore easily from all my weight.. LOL poor david will have to keep up with my pace :-P
i also have a hard time sleeping at night because of my big belly and my aching back and the trips to the bathroom. LOL so i find myself sleeping more in the daytime than in the night :-P the baby is just active throughout the day and night…. it is good though that he lets me know that he is there, alive and kicking and saying all is well :)
anywayz, this week has been profitable… it has been a good week for business and time with david and the baby. :) and time with family as well… it’s so nice to talk to them about the latest happenings and am so happy to see pictures and videos of the reunion that happened in the philippines not too long ago… it turned out be a very successful, happy and memorable event! just imagine having 14 siblings scattered abroad gathering together with their respective families! it indeed was a blast (although not all the families were present but each family was represented) we hope to be present at the next family reunion and be more complete that time :)
today is laurie’s 28th birthday, and had a good long chat with her :) it’s just nice to catch up with each other’s lives. i just wish her all the best and pray for success in her life on her role as a wife and a mom (which she is doing great by the way) and that her days will be filled with more happy memories :) i am excited for them going to the philippines!!!
i’ve got my photo gallery updated with pictures.. so if you want to see a big belly and usual life here, feel free to go to it :)
sabbath is fast approaching, i still need to take care of some stuff before it comes and then prepare dinner :)
happy sabbath to you all (for those who keep it) and until next post :)
I’m surprised that you’ve already had such a cold night. I know what you mean about slowing down when taking walks. I really feel like I’m moving in slow motion.
BTW, have you registered anywhere for baby things? I was wondering if there are still some items you and David might need before the baby comes…
Thank you so much for the phone call yesterday :) and your birthday greetings.
I hope it warms up again for you, so you can enjoy taking your walks without being too chilly. I remember when I was as far along as you with my pregnancies, I couldn’t walk as well and my sciatic nerve bothered me. And then, I would feel some cramping/contractions in my belly. I had to stop for a break. Jebby was understanding though, which is nice. :)
BTW, my chat box is down temporarily because I started getting spam on it and I don’t exactly know how to control it yet. When we find and figure a solution, we’ll put it back up.
That is cold. Maybe a sign of it being another great winter for sledding :)
That’s good that you’re keeping up with walking. Staying active can helping in having a quick delivery. So I’m sure David won’t mind having to walk a little slow if it helps you in the long run :)
Other than waking up to go to the bathroom at night, I never really had a problem sleeping while I was pregnant. It was after I had Myra when I couldn’t sleep. Not because she would wake me up, but because I’d always try to listen for her moving or fussing so I knew to get up and feed her.
Hopefully you’ll beable to go to the next family reunion. Then you’ll be able to show off you new addition of your own little family :)
Keep on taking pictures like you have been. You’ll be glad you did :)
